Approved Indications: What We Treat
Ultomiris is an advanced, long-acting complement inhibitor designed for durable symptom control. Our specialized clinical team administers Ultomiris infusions for complex conditions across multiple therapeutic specialties:
Generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG)
Neurology Focus: For adult patients who are anti-acetylcholine receptor (AChR) antibody-positive, targeting profound muscle weakness.
Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD)
Neurology Focus: For adult patients who are anti-aquaporin-4 (AQP4) antibody-positive, helping protect against severe central nervous attacks.
Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH)
Hematology Focus: To safeguard vulnerable red blood cells from breaking down, mitigating severe chronic fatigue and blood clot risks.
Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (aHUS)
Hematology Focus: To inhibit complement-mediated complications and actively protect vital renal and systemic organ function.
The Ultomiris Dosing Journey
Unlike traditional specialty treatments requiring frequent clinical travel, Ultomiris features an extended maintenance schedule that respects your time—meaning you plan around life, not your therapy.
Because Ultomiris targets specific immune channels, you must complete or update your meningococcal vaccines (covering serogroups A, C, W, Y, and B) at least 14 days before your initial dose.
Your treatment plan starts with a weight-based intravenous loading dose, mixed on-site by specialized pharmacists and administered safely by our registered infusion nurses.
Exactly 14 days following your first visit, you will receive your introductory maintenance infusion to lock in stable, continuous therapeutic blood levels.
Following week two, adult patients switch to an extended timeline of just one infusion every 8 weeks—resulting in only 6 to 7 total therapeutic sessions per year.
